Yesterday, The Gerson Institute published the following blog post, together with the most comprehensive interview, given by Charlotte Gerson for some time.
Today we have the great pleasure to share with you a previously unreleased interview between Charlotte Gerson and her longtime friend, Dr. Jameth Sheridan from 2013! Since Charlotte is in the midst of a difficult recovery from a broken hip, and probably won’t be doing any new interviews in the near future, now is a good time to share some unseen gems from our media archive.
This interview with Dr. Jameth Sheridan was filmed in 2013 at the Charlotte Gerson Health Restoration Center. Dr. Jameth Sheridan is a naturopath and doctor of holistic medicine who has spent decades researching and promoting holistic medicine, raw foods, superfoods and “hard-core” nutrition. He is the co-founder of HealthForce Nutritionals. He has been a friend of Charlotte’s and a supporter of The Gerson Institute for many years!
In this hour-long video, Charlotte and Jameth cover a wide range of topics related to the Gerson Therapy. In the first half, she gives an overview of the Gerson Therapy and how Dr. Max Gerson developed it. In the second half, they address topics and questions such as:
- Why is the Gerson diet so “low” in protein?
- Can the Gerson Therapy be used for diseases other than cancer?
- Does the sugar in carrot juice feed cancer?
- Why is meat prohibited on the Gerson Therapy?
- What role does body pH play in healing cancer?
- What kinds of fats are permitted on the Gerson Therapy?
- What kinds of exercises can Gerson patients do?
Last month, [The Gerson Institute] shared that Charlotte Gerson is currently staying in a rehabilitation center, recovering from a broken hip. Her rehabilitation has been challenging, and her doctors predict it will still be a few months before she can return home. She is getting lots of rest and relaxation–and a daily dose of love and support from the letters and cards many of you have sent! Your cards have helped raise Charlotte’s spirits and made her feel loved. Thank you so much to everyone who has sent such lovely words of support.
