Regular readers will know that I have been learning from, and inspired by, the work of Charlotte Gerson, who is continuing the work started by her father, Dr Max Gerson.
Dr Max Gerson: Healing The Hopeless, by Howard Straus, Dr Gerson’s grandson, chronicles his grandfather’s life. The book discusses the development of his world-famous dietary therapy and the struggles this medical pioneer faced as he challenged orthodox medicine with his nutritional protocol. This inspiring and uplifting biography follows Dr Gerson through Nazi persecution, then persecution in the United States by the medical establishment, the continuation of his work despite the opposition, his suspicious death and finally the present, where his daughter, Charlotte, and the Gerson Institute, work to continue his legacy and vision.
The book is available at The Gerson Institute.
Thanks to Howard Straus, Charlotte Gerson and The Gerson Institute.
