No Matter Where: The Documentary

Each year 200,000 people die from medical errors in American hospitals. There are a number of reasons for these mistakes, but everyone agrees the number would be much lower if doctors shared records. In this Internet age, we assume doctors anywhere can pull up our charts, but the truth is most have no way to do this.

At first glance, it might be an obvious conclusion that since many clinical practices use computers to record information and to look up past records, and since hospitals also use computers to look up information, these clinical practices must be exchanging data among themselves and among hospitals in the region. Unfortunately, while this has been a dream for many decades, it has yet to be fully realised in the United States. This process, known as health information exchange, is an absolutely critical though uncommonly available process up until very recently — and even then only in some locations.

It is extremely challenging, although not the least bit because of technical issues. Rather it is because patients do not ask for it, not all clinicians believe they need it, no one is willing to pay for it, and because some of the basic standards to connect one system to another are adopted by one system but not the other.

Like many of the major advances in this country and in the world, these standards are a critical part of the equation. There are people all over the country working to achieve this, and they are slowly making progress. Like the Union Pacific Railroad, the moonshot, the automated teller machine, and a number of large national projects, health information exchange is a complex project that will take years to complete.

No Matter Where scratches the surface of these complex issues that have been dealt with in recent times by a number of private foundations, public/private partnerships, and public entities, and uncovers the tragic, hidden cost on the lives of millions of Americans.

Fluoride On Tap: The Documentary

TruthKings: See How Fluoride Is Slowly Killing Our Kids

Is fluoride bad for you? Should you be concerned about sodium fluoride being in your water or toothpaste? Learn why Sweden, Norway, Austria, Finland, China and more countries have banned fluoride. How did fluoride get approved for use in the United States and what are the health effects? Learn everything you need to know about fluoride and what you can do.

Fluoride pushers will have you believe that the chemical saves our children’s teeth, but this has never been proven. In fact, it has been shown that regions without fluoride infusion show no differences in tooth decay rates. Dietary changes, such as lowered sugar intake, have been shown over and over to prevent tooth decay. But pushers of fluoride, often dentist who provide our kids with candy, attempt to skirt this fact.

Fluoride is a neurotoxin. It contributes to lower IQ and other neurological issues. A research paper published on Harvard’s website leaves very little doubt regarding the harmful effects incurred from Fluoride on humans.

“Fluoride seems to fit in with lead, mercury, and other poisons that cause chemical brain drain,” Grandjean says. “The effect of each toxicant may seem small, but the combined damage on a population scale can be serious, especially because the brain power of the next generation is crucial to all of us.”

Fluoride is slowly killing our youth. While many communities choose to fight back, most remain subverted by the government and dental associations. Many parents report that while fluoride does scare them, their dentist typically bullies them into using the chemical. The human race has entered a period of a degenerative disease pandemic. Neurological disorders such as autism and Tourette’s continues to rise.

Psychiatry — An Industry Of Death: The Documentary

PsychiatryAnIindustryOfDeathThrough rare historical and contemporary footage and interviews with more than 160 doctors, attorneys, educators, survivors and experts on the mental health industry and its abuses, this riveting documentary blazes the bright light of truth on the brutal pseudoscience and the multibillion-dollar fraud that is psychiatry.

The DVD companion brochure contains over 150 photos and graphics that track the history of psychiatry from it’s macabre eighteenth century origins to today, where 100,000 patients die each year in psychiatric institutions and 20 million children have been put on potentially lethal, mind-altering drugs.

We think you have the right to know the cold, hard facts about psychiatry, its practitioners and the threat they pose to our children.

Order Psychiatry: An Industry of Death documentary and companion brochure. Distribute it to others—associates, family and friends. Warn them about psychiatry’s damaging treatments. When you watch the DVD you will be outraged and will want to act to end these abuses.

Food Inc: The Documentary

foodincFood Inc is more than just a terrific documentary — it’s an important movie, one that nourishes your knowledge of how the world works. Or, in this case, has started not to work. The director, Robert Kenner, features and builds on the muck-raking testimony of Michael Pollan (The Omnivore’s Dilemma) and Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation) to create an essential, disturbing portrait of how the food we eat has become a deceptively prefab, even hazardous industrial product.

Kenner doesn’t rant. He connects the dots — from the huge, aggressively lobbied government subsidies for corn to the transformation of farms into factories of mass-produced, corn-fed cattle, which are then slaughtered and ground into ”hamburger meat filler,” which is cleansed with ammonia. Food Inc shows how the use of high-fructose corn syrup in almost every supermarket product is part of the same system that masses chickens in concentration-camp coops, where they’re bred for their oversize, flavourless white meat (and you thought breast enhancement was just popular for humans). It all traces back to the assembly line techniques pioneered by the fast-food industry, which were then adopted everywhere else. A big-picture vision of conglomerate duplicity and control, Food Inc is hard to shake, because days after you’ve seen it, you may find yourself eating something — a cookie, a piece of poultry, cereal out of the box, a perfectly round waxen tomato — and you’ll realise that you have virtually no idea what it actually is.

Pink Ribbons Inc: The Documentary

pinkribbonsincWhile the pink ribbons campaign has done a lot to raise awareness about breast cancer this film uncovers the real truth behind it all.

You might be shocked to discover some of the questionable companies involved in the campaign, where your money goes, and how little is spent on prevention and natural therapies. It’s a well produced and must watch film!

James Colquhoun
Producer/Director Food Matters and Hungry For Change

Why You Should Watch This Film

If there’s one reason that you could benefit from watching this film, it’s to understand the cancer industry and how this campaign really works. ‘Pink Washing’ is a campaign designed to raise awareness, which is great, but in truth may be actually helping contribute to the cancer industry. The term ‘Pink Washing’ is used when companies color their products pink or add a pink ribbon to their packaging to entice people to buy. Unfortunately what happens when people buy, where the money goes, how the money is spent is a problem that is largely overlooked.

Pink Ribbons, Inc, shows how the devastating reality of breast cancer has become clouded by a shiny, pink story of success. It’s time to face the facts about “pink” product marketing and start saving lives with solid prevention programs, more research into natural therapies and access to solid information on nutrition instead.

Revelatory. Deserves to be seen.

The New York Times

What You’ll Discover In This Film
  • Who really benefits from pink-washing.
  • The disconnect between research and results.
  • How breast-cancer research is poorly coordinated and favors drug companies.
  • How breast cancer fundraising may boost corporate profits and brand awareness more than it benefits people with the disease.
  • The fact that it raises millions of dollars for the cause, yet prevention in highly underfunded and breast cancer rates keep rising.
  • That many companies profiting from these campaigns may actually be contributing to the breast cancer by selling known carcinogens.
  • Why so many women feel alienated by an approach which can be seen as a “tyranny of cheerfulness”.
About Pink Ribbons Inc

Pink ribbons, they’re everywhere: t-shirts, hats, yogurt cups, KFC buckets, car ads, NFL stadiums…the list goes on and on. They make us feel good, as if we’re all engaged in a successful battle against breast cancer.

But who is really benefiting? After all, more and more women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. Maybe it’s the companies who wrap their products in pink to gain our admiration and money. Then wouldn’t it be something if some of the very companies that profit from their pink marketing campaigns have actually contributed to the breast cancer epidemic by selling known carcinogens?

Pink Ribbons, Inc, goes inside the story to reveal those who have co-opted what marketing experts have labeled a “dream cause.”

  • Dr Samantha King (author of Pink Ribbons, Inc.: Breast Cancer and the Politics of Philanthropy)
  • Barbara Brenner (of Breast Cancer Action)
  • Barbara Ehrenreich author/activist (Nickel and Dimed)
  • Nancy Brinker (of Susan G. Komen for the Cure)
  • Dr Susan Love, advocate/surgeon

Pool and her interviewees ask a crucial question with this film: Has the pink ribbon campaign actually helped save lives? Or is it simply a way for companies to look good — and sell products — on the back of women who have gone through terrible tragedies?

The Hungry For Change Mastery Program

The Hungry For Change Mastery Program is a major new production from the makers of Food Matters. Introducing the program, producer James Colquhoun, writes:

Are You Ready to Take Your Health To A New Level?

In this day and age we are constantly bombarded with marketing and advertising messages convincing us that our perfect health is just a pill or diet soda away.

The truth is that unfortunately this is not the case. We have never been sicker or more overweight. This program will hold your hand through a journey of discovery so you will never feel confused about what or how much to put on your plate.

All This Started With My Father’s Story…

In 2002 my father was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression and Anxiety. He put on over 55 pounds and spent 5 years bedridden on a number of different medications. There was nothing that the medical profession could do apart from periodically changing his medical cocktail in the hope that they might find the magic bullet. His health continued to spiral downwards.

This eventually led Laurentine and I to create our first film ‘Food Matters’ and most recently ‘Hungry For Change’. What started with helping find the best way to get this information to my father has resulted in us dedicating our lives to sharing this message with the world.

We are now excited to present our latest 12 DVD program ‘Hungry For Change Mastery’.

Introducing The Hungry For Change Mastery Program

We created the Hungry For Change Mastery program so that it would be easy for you to implement everything that is discussed in the film. Prescription: Suicide? The Documentary

Prescription: Suicide? is an unprecedented feature documentary built around intimately told personal stories of six American families, their hopes and experiences with anti-depressant drugs prescribed to their children. As the film unfolds, we meet a range of individuals — some shy, some outspoken. Many have experienced tragedies and their pain is undeniable, yet with strength, humour and resilience, they love, care, struggle and speak for those who are no longer with us.

The documentary takes an intimate look at the personal impact of anti-depressant drugs on children and teenagers.

The filmmakers have weaved together six distinct stories of real people and real experiences. They have captured a sense of the arguments in an ongoing controversy that affects millions of Americans in a documentary that ultimately asks the question if these so-called revolutionary medications can be used safely.

This isn’t a story about money or big pharmaceutical corporations, it’s a story about tragedies in individual families like you and me and our kids.

Robert Manciero

Some people call them “miracle” drugs. But can they be safely administered? Can physicians — can the drug manufacturers themselves — adequately understand the risks these newly developed drugs pose to their patients? This program lets families directly impacted take centre stage. They are sharing their stories, speaking from their hearts. Through their experiences an understanding is being gained that is essential, even critical, when making a decision about the use of these medications.

Prescription: Suicide? is a passionate, often disturbing look into the lives of six families, and was produced and directed by Robert Manciero and Rich Samuels with David Garland as co-producers.

The Families

Reluctant at first but wanting to share their personal tragedies so that others could hopefully be spared similar experiences, these six families courageously put aside their personal considerations and allow the audience to take an intimate look at the personal impact of anti-depressant drugs on their children.

Ultimately they realised that they were given false and insufficient information along with improper diagnoses that turned their worlds upside down and changed their lives forever. Only through their personal perseverance were they able to find out what really happened to their children, uncover the information that was withheld and begin rebuilding faith in their own lives.

The DVD is available at the producers website.

Water: The Great Mystery

Water is one of the most profound and thought provoking films I have ever seen!

It’s definitely on my top 10 list.

Warning: after watching this film you may: start playing classical music more often, look cautiously at your faucet water, consider your brain and body when drinking water, giving thanks and gratitude for your water (and food), and you will most certainly never look at this simple element in the same way again!

I urge you to check it out and share this message with family and friends! (especially if they need healing)”

James Colquhoun
Producer, Food Matters and Hungry For Change

Five Reasons You Should Watch This Film
  • If you are interested in deeper knowledge of the water you drink and how it effects your body
  • You want to discover the amazing secrets of how water can hold memory
  • You are open to taking your mind to another level to discover the beauty and complexity of mother nature
  • You want to understand why it is important for us to protect our natural environment
  • To understand how every living thing is essentially a container of water and how we can positively and negatively effect it’s makeup

This film is truly compelling and will have you thinking “wow” at the end. You won’t believe how truly beautiful and complex a natural substance can be and why we need to embrace and protect this profound element.

What You’ll Discover In This Film
  • The multiple dimensions of one of earth’s most mysterious substances
  • The power of structured water and its ability to adapt and transform
  • Natural water’s energy and its ability to memorize its journey
  • The future of all living organisms present in water, waiting for an impulse
  • How much there is still unknown about our life-source
  • How we are spiritually polluting water

Water shows us through science that our thoughts have an effect on our external reality. Imagine the possibilities when people realize their own potential for creativity. Films like this give me hope that there is an emergence of collective intelligence that can solve the problems of the world.

Deepak Chopra

About The Film

From times immemorial, scientists, philosophers and theologians tried to understand waters explicit and implicit properties, which are phenomenal, beyond the common physical laws of nature.  Where did it come from? Why does it exist? How does it effect out bodies?

Witness recent, breathtaking discoveries by researchers worldwide from Russia, Kazakhstan, Switzerland, Israel, the USA, Britain, Austria, Japan, Argentina, China and Tibet about how this humble element acts! What you will learn will astound you and awaken your mind to understand the depth of this amazing element. There are so many secrets about water that are still unknown.

The arguments expound upon unexpected and challenging assumptions enlightening many years of research to open humankind to new horizons, such as the applications of structured water in agriculture, or the use of water in treatment for the most serious diseases and more.

I hate definitions like ‘life-changing’, ‘amazing’, ‘unbelievable’, etc. but this movie is just that in absolutely every aspect. Why? Its just another proof we know almost nothing about the planet we inhabit. I did not know that :

  • Water has memory
  • Water senses human emotions and reacts to them
  • Water is able to communicate from a distance
  • A prayer can turn bad water into good one
  • Both tap & bottled water are “dead” and bear no positive energy

Scientific proofs from different countries & parts of the world are captured in this movie and the above listed facts are just a small fraction of what has been discovered recently.

I recommend this movie to every person who wants to understand more about themselves, the world we live in and maybe even the direction in which our civilization is headed. Have you ever asked yourselves why underdeveloped people living in the nature are much more happy than us living in the most developed cities of the world? A major part of the answer may lie hidden in the water we drink.

Nayden Anguelov

Water will open your mind up to a new perspective of life. There are so many mysteries on earth that are yet to be unraveled and it’s exciting!

Homegrown Revolution: The Urban Homestead

HomegrownRevolutionHomegrown Revolution is a short introduction to the home-grown project that has been called a new revolution in urban sustainability.

In the midst of a dense city setting in downtown Pasadena, radical change is taking root. For over twenty years, the Dervaes family have transformed their home into an urban homestead and model for sustainable agriculture and city living.

Through the creation of the “Urban Homestead” the Dervaes family shows that change is possible — one step at a time. They harvest 3 tons of organic food annually from their tenth of an acre garden while incorporating many back-to-basics practices, solar energy and biodiesel in order to reduce their footprint on the earth’s resources.

The original version of Homegrown Revolution was made in three days for a lecture Jules Dervaes gave at the University of California Los Angeles in October 2007 on the topic of Slow Food. It received a wildly enthusiastic response from the students and, subsequently, attracted an avid following on YouTube.

This new version of Homegrown Revolution was created in 2009. It was screened at many film festivals throughout the world.

It is a collaborative project done by Jules, Anais, Justin and Jordanne with each member taking part in the filming, editing and structure of the film. No one had any previous film editing or filming experience but the family hope the passion and enthusiasm of their lifestyle and project show through any technical flaws.

Made in-house on computers powered by solar/green sources. All transportation was done in a biodiesel-fuelled car and all camera/mic batteries were rechargeable and charged with solar energy. Waste was kept to a minimum — paper composted or recycled and all publicizing materials printed on post consumer paper.

This film is also available on DVD, from the Urban Homestead website.

Thanks to the Dervaes family.
